Advanced Cutting Solutions

Waterjet Cutting

Waterjet cutting is an efficient and highly precise method for cutting metals, composites, stone, glass, ceramics, and a variety of other materials.

What is waterjet cutting?

Waterjet cutting uses a high-pressure stream of water combined with abrasives to slice through almost any material. Operating at an immense pressure of 50,000 psi, this method delivers outstanding accuracy. Our waterjet machines can cut steel plates as thin as 0.55mm and accommodate sizes up to 1500mm x 3000mm.

Advantages of waterjet cutting:

  • Exceptional accuracy – precise to 0.1mm.
  • Fast processing – particularly effective for softer, thinner materials.
  • No heat distortion – as the process does not rely on high temperatures, materials remain free from warping.
  • Smooth edges – produces a clean finish, eliminating the need for additional machining or grinding.
  • Environmentally friendly – no hazardous waste, heat, or gases are generated, reducing environmental impact.
Plasma Cutting

Plasma Cutting

Plasma cutting offers you speed, accuracy, and versatility, particularly when it comes to thin and medium-thickness steels.

What is plasma cutting?

This method uses a plasma torch to cut through steel and other metals. A high-speed gas stream is directed from a nozzle, while an electrical arc melts the metal, with compressed air clearing away molten material. This results in a cleaner cut compared to traditional oxygen-acetylene torch cutting.

Advantages of plasma cutting:

  • Fast and precise – delivers clean cuts with minimal dross, reducing the need for finishing.
  • Minimised heat distortion – reduced heat transfer helps prevent material warping.
  • Versatile cutting – capable of handling intricate shapes and complex patterns.
  • Cost-effective – particularly suited for medium-thickness materials.
  • No preheating required – saves both time and operational costs.

How much does it cost?

Cutting costs are based on machine time, which depends on the material and finish you need. Our system calculates this automatically to give you accurate timing and pricing. Quotes are provided once material and design details are confirmed, with setup costs depending on complexity and what’s supplied.
