Celebrating Fifty Years!
Steel Industries passed our 50 year milestone earlier this year. Established in January of 1967 by Albert Murer, a young Swiss Australian who decided to form a small steel fabrication shop out in the countryside on a little dirt road called Goroa Street in the new industrial suburb of Gordons.

Team effort for FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup
All of us were truly impressed with the success of the FIFA Women's U20 World Cup held mid November through early December. While much of the Tournament utilized facilities constructed for the Pacific Games there were two new stadiums required for the tournament.

Expanded machine shop
With the recent shutdown of a major Machine Shop in Port Moresby, Steel Industries has expanded our Machine Shop to support our many clients. We currently have two modern Hafco Metalmaster lathes, a shaper, two Rigid threading machines, a small milling machine, drills, and grinders.
