Celebrating Fifty Years!

  • Posted on August 30, 2017 in News
Steel Industries passed our 50 year milestone earlier this year. Established in January of 1967 by Albert Murer, a young Swiss Australian who decided to form a small steel fabrication shop out in the countryside on a little dirt road called Goroa Street in the new industrial suburb of Gordons.

While our physical facilities have expanded significantly it’s our dedicated staff that have contributed to our real success. To celebrate, we took a well-deserved break and shut the company down on a recent Friday to thank all of our staff including their families for the work that they and their predecessors have performed over the last fifty years.

We were fortunate to recognize over 50 staff who have been with the company for over 10, 20 and 30 years – one of whom just passed forty years of service with the Company!
